Steve might chime in here with some practical foliar experience. When we us=
ed overhead irrigation we never even thought about it but then we were not =
standing in the spray. When we've applied by hand we've used a 'primitive' =
system utilizing a sump pump and hose which does not create a mist but more=
 of a heavy droplet application. I've never been real big on the foliar thi=
ng, concentrating more on applying to the soil.
