Paul;
There's lots in the archives about this. Bob made one of the first ACT
machines and he sold it to larger operations by saying you could brew
continuously by doing what you describe. I don't know if Bob still peeks at
this site.

Subject: [compost_tea] How long can a brew continue?
Hi folks,
New guy here. I've searched through the archives and haven't found an answer
to my question. Hopefully, one of you can help me out.
Is it possible to just keep a batch of tea going by, draining off 1/2 the
tea and replacing with water & food as one would with a sourdough starter,
or is it necessary to replenish the castings as well? As an urban farmer,
I'm trying to get as much mileage out of my castings as possible.
Thanks in advance.
