[compost_tea] minerials from pink salt crystals
I have made a brine solution from pink himalayan salt crystals by
adding enough ro water to enough crystals to have some crystals
remaining after 24 hrs. From what I read,this should be a 26%
solution, which is diluted w/8 parts water to make it a 3% solution,
which should be the same as sea water, and this should be diluted
1:10 which would be safe for plants and have all elements present in sea wa=
ter. I want to incorporate my 26% brine solution into my tea.
I have tried a product called Ocean Solution, which is a concentrate
of ocean water that has 90 elements present and a dilution rate of
1:100, in my tea brew using 2oz, of this to a 15 gal. brew w/good
noticeable results. I made a 15 gal vortex brewer and use a 90w
Sweetwater linear diaphragm air pump.
I was thinking of using 11oz of the 26% solution in my next 15gal brew.
Anyone ever use a brine like this this before? At what rate? Anyone use =
Ocean Solution before?Came to
11oz because Ocean Solution is a little more than 5 times as concentrated a=
s brine solution, 5x2oz=10oz w/an xtra oz. and that diluting the 11ozs at=
1:18 to make it safe for plants is still way below
safe levels for 15 gal of brew water.
