Hi Carl, Thanks for taking the time to offer this excellent suggestion. I have looked at the site, found names, and emailed 3 local arborists. One of them teaches classes at our botanical gardens in Richmond. I took his pruning class in March of 2009. I will let you know if any one is able to offer help and referrals. Do you think that we should remove the berries (mulberries, blueberries, strawberries, currents, figs etc) so that the birds will not consume them either? I worry about the wildlife. I never want my fruits to deliver poison. I am not sure how much compost tea I can apply as we will be traveling for several weeks in May... I took a quick tour of your website - nice.
