I need to defer the answer about drip irrigation to others who know more
about this topic.
What I have learned is that you need to look at the size on the nozzle of
your emitter. They can be very small (5 micrometers) to large enough to let
any microbe pass (400 micrometers). You want the larger size nozzles,
probably not smaller than 200 micrometers. Testing is important to know if
the organisms are passing your nozzle.
Cleaning out the drip lines is necessary, and hydrogen peroxide and vinegar
are very good for cleaning the lines out.
Anyone else have experience on this that they can share?
