Fact: Mary and I are both gourmet cooks that require only the best
produce to suit our taste buds.(Food TV, Caribou Bajee)
Myth: They do not grow giant vegetables in Scandinavia. ( same
Latitude)
Fact: The frost is still in the soil until early to mid July
(remember the old saying "warm feet cool heads" when growing plants)
Fact: I have tranplanted into the the garden and the temperature has
dropped down to 20 degrees for over a week without any loss, that
includes celery!
Myth: I grow only Giant vegetables.
Fact: My purpose is productivity, quality and disease supression. Most
of the produce matures two to three weeks earlier than other gardens,
even though the ground is still cold. I normally plant 8 pea and bean
seedlings that can produce vast quantities. (one year I harvested 3
bushels from 12 bean plants)One onion is equivelent to 3(you only cry
once)carrots average 13", potatoes are ready in 7 weeks. "I could go
on and on".
Fact: The following morning after applying tea, most plants have
grown inches over night!!!!!!!I thank Alaska Humus and my other
ingredients for that.
Fact: The root structures on most of the plants travel deep into the
subsoil to search for water and nutrients.
Fact: The well water comes out at an average of 38 degrees and goes
to the plants via soaker hoses. Alaska averages 14" of presipitation
a year!!
Fact: I will be at the Acres USA conference on the 12th, Booth 50.
Hope to see you there Elaine.
John
