So, John is in a wet climate.

  Jose? Scott?

Others growing large vegetables? What's the common thread?

We are supposed to be in Av. 80" rainfall area but I haven't seen that ki=
nd a rain for a few years.
I have to attribute large plants and speedy multiplication (from one divi=
sion to 8 or 10 in 12 months) to a good volcanic soil which is tested by Br=
ookside Laboratory, nutritionally balanced prior to planting with organic =
fertilisers, innoculated with a proprietary microbe mix which has 4 fungi a=
nd 20 bacteria (from www.nutri-tech.com.au) , and then the plants & soil re=
ceive a monthly application of very diluted CT through the overhead sprinkl=
ers.

No losses to disease, Brix levels are high, and aphid numbers are minimal=
in 6 acre mono-culture. Clients report that my plants "take off" when pla=
nted compared to those from other daylily specialists.
