Hello All,

I hope everyone is well and getting ready for a wonderful holiday with fami=
ly and friends.

Regarding the cryptic post and the patent description, Point 23 is a descri=
ption of the air bubbler process of making CT. It appears they are attempt=
ing to patent the air bubble process of making CT, a process that Elaine ha=
s mentioned as being years old. This is nothing more than the classic buck=
et bubbler method, with a compost basket.

Happy Holidays

The drawings are just the drawings of the Growing Solutions machine. Jsut =
the internal specs on that particular machine. No big deal. But the first=
claim, and point 23 have to be a basis for denial of the patent.

How do we get that information to the patent office? We were making air b=
ubbler tea makers for years before he drew up the plans for his machine.

Sorry for the cryptic post - I was working on this, got distracted, and put=
it in the "to be sent", and when I sent some other e-mails, it got mailed =
as well.

But let me ask everyone, what is this a description of?

I'll repeat the description here:

23. A method for producing compost tea, comprising the steps of: (a) fillin=
g a tank with a quantity of liquid; (b) providing a source of compost; (c) =
introducing said compost into a perforate container configured for allowing=
liquid to flow through said perforations but for retaining particulate mat=
ter in said compost within said container; (d) immersing said perforate con=
tainer in said liquid; (e) bubbling air through said liquid by generating b=
ubbles in said tank to thereby circulate said fluid in said tank and throug=
h said perforate container to maintain a desired dissolved oxygen concentra=
tion in said fluid and to extract microorganisms and nutrients from said co=
mpost into said liquid; (f) maintaining said bubbling for a period of time =
sufficient to allow said microorganisms to reproduce.

What is being described? What is it that this person is attempting to pate=
nt?

Give it a guess. The first person to e-mail back with the right explanatio=
n gets a free foodweb sample from SFI.
