RE: [compost_tea] NEED HELP--WHERE CAN I BUY SOME WORMS QUICKLY
MaryKay:
We are going to use coir only because newspaper might be hard to distinguish
from the paper packaging, and we don't want any confusion. We will try
different packaging from Wendy's, McDonalds, etc--some won't be compostable
at all, we know, but we will try as many different things as we can.
I have some worms, but am worried not enough, because I have been lazy about
feeding lately, so I found a place to order from.
Wish us luck. I always hate these science projects, because no matter what
we do, it never seems as beautiful as some of the other displays.

Hi Priscilla, What kind of food packaging were you going to use? Coir is
not necessary for bedding, use shredded newspaper &/or cardboard, food
scraps, livestock manure are all great free bedding & feed.
How many worms do you need? My daughter started with 25 worms for her
science fair project. It sure didn't take long til we had a so many we had
to build a bigger box.
You can email me if you have any more questions. MaryKay
