[compost_tea] CT naming, Proteas & Kangaroo Paws
Re: [compost_tea] Re: CT Naming, NOP & ManureOn the night prior to full moo=
n, I dispensed 100 gallons of aerated liquid compost over 6 acres of daylil=
ies through the irrigation system. I kept a litre sample in a 2 litre plast=
ic container and it still smells OK after two days. It looked good and smel=
led good when I took the sample but why doesn't it "go off"? If it had hig=
h microbe numbers in it wouldn't the stuff start getting pretty smelly beca=
use the aeration has stopped?
Has anyone in the group any experience either growing Protea and Kangaroo P=
aws, or have clients, friends etc who are? Proteas are very susceptible to =
phytopthera and a neighbour is losing quite a lot to this disease.
