[compost_tea] what constitutes a soil drench?

You can either spray tea on the foliage where you need at least 70% coverag=
e, not much per leaf, but may be a cup per plant?????or you put it into the=
 soil in sufficient amounts to truly inoculate the soil. How much? That dep=
ends on the type of soil but you have to use more than would simply coat a =
leaf, but probably not that much more per plant. Up here we transplant to =
our gardens in the spring and apply a soil drench of six to eight ounces pe=
r transplant....or we soak the transplant before we put it in the ground an=
d it takes up that much.....That is what I would call a soil drench. By the=
 same token, pouring tea onto the soil of greenhouse plants in place of a r=
egular watering is a soil drench.

But, there may be other meanings......?
