Hi,
The concept of paying to belong to something where I do not have a clear p=
ath for my voice is of concern, I see nothing on the site or in the index o=
f things to come relating to how and with what authority this group will re=
present the international views of compost tea users.
purpose 1;
To provide a unified voice that represents the best interests of the compos=
t tea industry and ensures its safe and successful continuation.

To provide a unified voice their needs to be a clearly visible path for vie=
ws and debate then decision making-- the site tells me about membership fee=
s and benefits (????) none of which relate to a path of unified voice.

I suggest the current discussion group has a clear and strong INTERNATIONAL=
VOICE and the work last year on the NOP made this clear and strong.

The true strength of a fledging industry is often its many voices not its s=
ingle voice especially when it has a considerable foe.

International??--visit the site and count the nations named?
Take alook at this group and count the nations on any =
given day?

The second paragraph of the vision is again being met here .

I AM NOT WISHING TO POUR COLD WATER ON THIS PROJECT---

I BELIEVE WE JUST NEED A GREAT DEAL OF CLARITY ON WHO IS CLAIMING THE RIGHT=
TO SPEAK ON OUR BEHALF --HAVE US PAY FOR IT-- WHEN WE ARE SMALL AND DIVERS=
E.

the TERMS INCORPORATED AND COUNCIL NORMALLY COME WITH RULES AND REGULATIONS=
--CAN WE SEE SOME?

REGARDS

  ICTC......

Now this looks like a group we might want to get behind.....I went to the=
web site. It is still under construction, but the names are all familiar p=
eople who have always shared information and who have the same goals as thi=
s list: Promote compost tea with good science and knowledge. I like the mis=
sion and the goals.

I also like the open membership. Nothing sneaky here...as far as I can te=
ll.

  Check it out. Comments?

  Cheers,

  Jeff
