Yes Laura Rob Russell of Westport Rivers gave a presentatiopn and looking at
my notes this is what he said about last year "used CT 15 times on a block
with some conventional intervention but lack of staying power with late
season rains". He also mentioned a SIGNIFICANT crop loss the previous year
using a non conventional technique. Maybe Mat Ryan can comment on more
details as it appears he takes better notes than I do. Since his talk was on
PP, maybe I can get a copy. I'll ask him.

My experience last two years is that my CT was not effective against Black
Rot on vinifera but did reasonably well on hybrid Traminette (3% BR vs 1% for
conventional). Now I must add my area is a BR hotspot and my teas were not
always as high in fungi as I would have liked. No other diseases or pests
were a problem. Elaine has said that BR is tough, she sure is right.

IMO the preferred approach is to use CT to get the correct soil biology
FIRST. Need the right foundation. Comments?
