A system that will produce 500 - 1200 gallons of waste water to produce
finished tea (1:5) for the 100 gallon brewer. Or a 500 gallon brewer
producing 2500 - 6000 gallons of waste doesn't seem to fit into a
sustainable gardening/agriculture paradigm for some of us.

Lets assume the 500 gallon RO wastes the minimum level of water, or 4
gallons for every one produced. Brewing 3 days a week = 6000 Gallons. Yearly
waste in excess of 312,000 gallons of waste water and that's for the most
efficient system available. RO manufacturers indicate most systems cannot
achieve an efficiency better than 1:5 and are likely significantly higher in
waste.

Sustainable?

Having seen the Wormgold prototype and having used machines from 4
manufacturers, I found with due diligence (and a little gray matter)
cleaning is an overblown feature.

The Wormgold 100 gallon tea maker costs $6500, which includes an RO. George
Hahn from Wormgold, was at a Holistic Resource Management conference this
weekend in Edinburg, Texas, where he had his tea maker displayed. He said
that one of the main reasons for the higher cost was the molded cast that
constitutes the body of the machine. And it is one good looking and easily
cleaned machine. George claims that in the near future, the RO that comes
with this tea maker will easily keep up with the water needs of both the 100
and 500 gallon brewer.

Perhaps David Lee Roth would be interested....remember he said it's not
whether you win or lose, it's how good you look.....;~)
