Typically chemicals that neutralize chlorine in water contain thiosulfate. At levels that are safe for fish, you kill microorganisms. You need to add humic acid, after adding the thiosulfate product to complex the thiosulfate. Amount of humic acid would be equal to the amount of thiosulfate.
