I think it's pretty safe to assume that the patent was applied for
with some self-interest or certainly it would not have been worth the
considerable expense. Not being a barrister I can't surmise what the
potential effects to the rest of us might be. It seems just to be
taking us closer to what Wormgold has claimed in the past, namely
pesticide properties. I for one will not be particularly enamored by
needing a pesticide applicators license to apply tea!

Our USDA hasn't shown any resonable insight, do we expect now that
the US Patent office and EPA will suddenly become insightful and
supportive of sustanable practices?
