Dan,

Thanks for the info. I appreciate your straightforwardness and the listing of the variables as well as the observations. This is the kind of post that I like to see.

Subject: [compost_tea] Compost Innoculation Test

Composts Used
-My Thermal
-My Vermicompost
-Worm Wonder (Orner)

Innoculants Tested
-Oat Flour
-Wheat Flour
-Corn Meal (flour)
-Soy Flour
-Humic Acid (Terra Vita & Humisolve)
-Fish Hydrolysate (Dramm)

Basic approach was half cup compost and half tsp innoculant then
moistened.
All three composts showed organism growth (white fuzzies) with all
the grains to varying degrees. The greatest growth was with Worm
Wonder & Fish H-white fuzzy trees and branches!
No visible growth on any compost was obtained with either humic
acid. Don't know why??
No scientific conclusion is implied. Tough to tell WHAT organisms
are growing without analyzing.

I intuitively think that innoculation would increase the organism
content of the compost and produce better CT especially with a less
than optimum brewer/brewing cycle.
We shall see when we test later.

Dan
