Re: [compost_tea] Smelly Foam Residue
Any help people can be to encourage the right people to attend my talks would
be greatly appreciated. I just added the pictures of all the work we've done
with Hendrikus Schraven, and I think it will blow bureaucrats and council
members away!
The foam isn't as bad as bio-film, because it is not established on a
surface. But you have to wash off the foam from the brewer's insides when
the brew is finished.
Holding the brew until tonight isn't a problem as long as you keep it
aerated. Adding even a tiny amount of food to a finished tea is dangerous,
because the organisms are primed and READY to gobble it up, giving you
incredible oxygen demand for a short period of time. Add food to the tea AS
THE TEA IS SPRAYED OUT! That's safest!
Thanks for the support! We have about 75 people signed up for the talk
today, expect a few more walk-ins.
