Re: RES: [compost_tea] Micronized Compost

Miconised or Vermi?
Micronised Compost has some significant advantages in returning to soil, carbon that has been removed, either from annual crops or fruit removed.
In Australian soils the opportunity to use a "micronised product" through drip or spray irrigation is preferable to further compaction via side spreader or other technology.
While lacking in the total microbial solution, these products exhibit worthwhile inputs and are in the main complementary to "teas" added later.

We (in Australia), look forward to your professional input in the creation of a benchmark stand for Compost Teas, as part of our (federal Australian) subsidised program to be led by Dr. Elaine Ingham.

Your experiences and expertise could be vital to ensuring we get the benchmark right.
As such we look forward to your input into the manufacture and industry approval of compost teas, liquid castings, and micronised composts (each will be trialed at this stage); each required to meet the Australian Standard AS4454-2002.

We look forward to your comments,
Regards,
Mike Damsels (Australian GWRDC Project Coordinator)
