Should be OK -
Change the filters before you start - take the
plastic strainer out of the top and replace it with "termi mesh" or similar,
about 50 mesh,so that anything going into the tank will clear the nozzles
easy, then make sure the nozzle jets are no finer than 40 mesh or better
stilll take them out. Check that the jet size is not too small. How fast can
you drive without wrecking the rig.? Faster forward speed = larger nozzle
size for same application rate = less blockages , also gives a bit of extra
agitation to keep the brew mixed and some turbulence at the crop canopy for
better coverage. This pump should be capable of up to 150 lt per hectare at
10 km per hour @ 4 meter wide - jets to do that should be just about hassle
free if you do the filter bit. To make sure of it go for low angle jets
(80degree has a more rounder hole than 110 degree). These little diaphragm
pumps are limited in capacity but are good goers - dont have much trouble
with them .
Some CT applicators are straining the brew with a sock filter into a
secondary tank then decanting that into the sprayer. This unit would work
well for putting out preps and could also be hooked up to feed a mistblower
for foliar nutrition.
have fun
