Hi Elaine, I don’t know of any studies. But I’m sure it’ll be
another feather in our caps as this is one of the easiest, simplest, fastest and least expensive ways
of testing CT on site as brix levels are shown to increase with CT use. Most of those on the brix list are
measuring brix levels of fruits and vegetables with their
refractometers. I see no reason not
to measure brix for all vegetation including lawns
and ornamentals, taking readings before and after application. Checking brix levels, then spraying with
CT, and then re-checking brix levels, for example within 30
minutes, should give an indication of how a plant is responding to the CT. I believe ‘brixers’ do this
in order to determine if a particular foliar spray is beneficial. I think our CT friends in CT studies at this time of the year.
