[compost_tea] Paul Stamets interview on NPR's Connections this morning.
Paul Stamets was just interviewed on NPR's Connections. Lots of implications
in the content of the talk for CT and for attention to the world of fungi in general.
It would be nice to have access to a transcript of the session; I wonder if
NPR will put this online?
PS mentioned NASA's Department of Astrobiology and his own theory that fungi
should be found elsewhere in the universe. The Iceman was found with a polypore mushroom
in his possesion, indicating that he might have been a keeper of the fire, a job
vital to the survival of his tribe in winter, and used this medicinal mushroom to keep himself
healthy.
He also mentioned the importance of fungi in making compost as well as in facilitating
the processing of landfill waste and residential landscape and garden waste..
