Here in
the desert Southwest we continue to apply tea until the soil temps drop below
55F. At that point growth really slows to almost nothing in our palms. Right
wrong or indifferent that’s been our strategy. Understand we are not producing
crops, just maintaining ornamentals. At home I grow vegetables all winter in a
south facing microclimate and continue to feed with tea through the winter. We
are faced with high chlorine levels in out irrigation water. I’m adding a large
charcoal filter to extract chlorine and hopefully reduce the amount of tea and
produce healthier vegetables. I have started a “live food” diet and am
concerned with the chlorine. Tom Jaszewski www.dirtboat.com 702-595-7012 -----Original
Message----- What is the recommendation to applying compost tea through the
winter months. I understand it can be very beneficially applied every 2
weeks. compost_tea-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com Your use of Yahoo! Groups is subject to the Yahoo! Terms of Service.
