Interesting how this can happen with patents,
huh? In conventional ag. similar things are happening with mixing more than one
chemical.. and you have to pay extra for that knowledge that the "tank
mix" will be more effective than a solo chemical. I hope compost tea
doesn't go the same direction!!
I started making teas after hearing Elaine at the
PASA (Pennsylvania Assoc. of Sustainable Agriculture) conference 4 maybe 5
years ago. I started using her bucket method with an aquarium pump.. still do
for the garden and at my folks house. They love it!! So she must have documents
that can date that.. when was the first manual published? The 2000 edition has
photos and descriptions of several brewers...
It will be very interesting to hear what Bob's
attorney has to say. He should be able to tell us how to send comments to the
Patent Office.
Did you read about the Compost tea percolator, by
THEODORE C. HUHN?
Sounds like an air lift pump (compressed air to
move water up to the basket). That's what I use, except that compost is free
form in the tank. I heard about this method from a friend in Long Island!!! Then
found lots of info on the web about how to design air lift pumps. I suppose
it can be patented because the use in compost tea has not been challenged.
This is more of what Elaine was talking about the
other day.... we're spending too much time on things that do
not promote the benefits of compost tea..... what a shame.. but
important!!!!

we need to show the patent office. Anyone making teas 5 years ago? 10 years ago? Using bubbles? Let us know! To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to: compost_tea-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com Your use of Yahoo! Groups is subject to the Yahoo! Terms of Service. |
