Jeff, I have a
difficult time getting numbers in a range Dr. Ingham considers the minimums. I
think we need to pull the compost basket after 8-10 hours since the bacteria seem to be attacking the
fungi! In spite of these lower numbers we see absolutely incredible results.
Remember I am saddled with high pH and lots of salts in my water. We are struggling
to learn about what kinds of rates are practical for us. We have tested with RO
water and have seen no differences in the results. In Las Vegas everything is
watered by our irrigation systems. Pool water is the best description for what
we are irrigating with! I still
believe Elaine’s minimum standard will show even better results. I have seen
some of the results that come out of Elliot’s machines in agricultural use.
They have gone far beyond mine! I visited with a grower who has cut his 4.5
million dollar fertilizer budget by 25% in one year! While all the “experts”
are arguing over how to control verticillium, he has no losses from infections
with CT. I had a
couple of John’s brewers to show at a local “Day With the Experts”, they were donated
and the gardeners using them are absolutely amazed at the results. One claims
he has been unable to EVER control whitefly in his greenhouse until he brewed
tea in a 50 dollar unit!!!! We
continue to follow up with soil tests and use a number of products from Tom
Piatkowski to make adjustments not attained by our tea. SFI website has some
good information on products that feed bacteria and fungi. Tom Jaszewski www.livesoil.com 702-595-7012 -----Original
