[compost_tea] New Pics Uploaded
I juat added a few pictures of a recent project we did for the
Village of East Hampton.
We found through a SFI soil test that these trees were severely
lacking Fungi and were full of Root feeding Nematodes.
Using an airspade we made large trenches throughout the tree pit and
removed as much of the top 5-6" of soil as possable. We then added a
non soluable fungal food and got local leaf litter that was high in
predatory Nematodes. we filled as much of the tree pit up with this
material then drenched with a Fungal Tea with VAM spores.
I just took the second round of tests this week (6 weeks after work
was done) and am waiting for the test results to see if we made an
impact.
