Thsnk You for the invitation, Elaine. We didn't do the tests last year but wish to do them this year. I have heard from several Bob's users who also want to go for your test program.
Dr Elaine,. this is what we have to offer: A new small 7 gallon research machine patterned after the Bobolator but much smaller. Paul asked for one so I am making several. The small size is for research and will allow brewing in cold climates in a warm environment. So
3 ea 7 gallon Bob's. Several customers are operatinig 50 gallon machines so 3 ea 50 gallon Bob's Brewers Several will operate as 250 gallon units similar tanks. So 3 ea 250 gallon Bob's systems. We will be developing quantitative recipes fpr each tank size this winter. Tank and brewer configuration will be 'standard' in each group How should we plan to work with SFI on this?
Notice to Bob's users - If you have interest in pursuing the program Dr. Elaine has outlined, please contact me, Bob@bnbrew.com. this can apply to potential users but note that spring when this starts is only a couple months away.
Elaine.would your program welcome that mix? .
Will you describe in more detail how you want soil samples taken?
Do we establish the recipes? Will you want to have input on recipes beyond what you have outlined below? And probably more questions later Bob

Hi Bob -
I thought the offer you made was very interesting. I, of course, being the perennial scientist, want the data. :-)
I am so happy when you emphasize the importance of getting research done. Everyone in the world of compost tea needs to see solid scientific data. SFI has the data published in the Compost Tea Brewing Manual, of course. I've shown the results of some of our recent studies at the VermiCo meeting in Portland, at Washington Tilth Producers, and at ACRES. We'll be publishing those studies as well.
Last year SFI ran the first three teas that people made for free. All we asked was that you sample the soil before you start, and apply tea to the soil at least once, as well as the foliage. We asked to have the soil sampled again at the sap next,
