RE: [compost_tea] C-T smell and Bears

John,

Does your compost tea smell like fish? I always thought that a good tea will smell earthy or sweet, even when made with liquefied fish ingredients. I am pretty sure that the liquefied fish does not smell like a nice fresh salmon just out of he river. Even if it did have a fishy smell, the brewing process should neutralize it.

I could be completely wrong and it would really suck if your compost tea brewer was attacked by a big old bear.

Keep us posted if yogi comes around for lunch.

I am concerned that If I were to apply compost tea with additives like
liquid fish, Ill have more trouble with Raccoons, and bears.

I'd like to use the CT on all of my plants this year. A Raccoon or big old
bear could do some serious damage to flats of small plants.

I live in Northern, WI.

Any thoughts?
