I should add that what one needs to do if you want to figure out what needs what kind of tea is to figure out where the plant in question would grow in the secession sequence. Old growth,conifer forests are heavily fungal. Deciduous forests are less so. Lawns less and bare soil even less.
 
All have about the same numbers of bacteria....
 
So, let's take a Rhododendron (sp).  Clearly as a shrub and a perennial it is going to be in the fungal area. However....here is one shrub that does well in conifer forests so it is heavily fungal....
 
It is pretty easy once you think of it this way...
