Thanks for the information about Snapshot and Corn
Gluten meal. I've passed this info. on to the daylily fanatics and i think
some of them will give Snapshot a miss.
Is mushroom compost OK for the soil. I'm sure i
read somewhere that it can be detrimental if used alot.
After 10 days of rain there are some areas in my
daylily farm that doesn't smell very nice but it was even worst at the nearby
golf course. We all know what's happened to the soil and the composition of the
microbes during all this rain don't we?
Dr Elaine is due here in a couple of
weeks. I'm trying to persuade our Greenkeeper to attend. Just before the big
rains there were millions of dead black beetles around the greens -
meaning that insecticides were used. Does the applications of compost teas
prevent the larval stages of these beetles developing and doing damage
to the grass roots ?
