Good point, Tom. I am pretty sure, however,
that the folks at SFI or at lots of universities could identify the "Santa
Claus" fungi and I have matched it, as far as I can to one of the pics the site
Dr. E sent with the compost/fungi...I mean to take some over to the University
here and will do so I have not been scientific!
This all started as a quest to find a way to see if
fungi existed in compost because if it isn't in your compost, you are not
going to get it in your tea. We know if you can get the long white
fuzzies, you have fungi that produces good teas in the SFI testing sense.
We know malts, baby oatmeal, kelp, the bloodmeal, feathermeal and bonemeal mix
all are suficient additivies to get fungal growth in compost.
We can argue about molds aside.
