Robert,
Thanks, yes please send info, Norway it;s of a bit,
I'm Swedish but lives in New Hampshire.
->keep Alfalfa growing in the field,
-WAY? OTHERS SAY PLANT LOW GROWING GRASSES
->source of compost till as much into the soil as you can
WAY ? SOME SAY DON'T DISTURB SOIL ? are incorporating more composte in soil
increasing the potential microbe activity ?
->Follow that with compost tea rather frequently over the entire
field. Build up the soil food web. OK, !

I guess Norway, Per Garp ? That sounds like the farm I grew
up on but it was Minnesota. I would keep Alfalfa growing in the
field. If you have a source of compost till as much into the soil as you
can. Follow that with compost tea rather frequently over the entire
field. Build up the soil food web.
Then in the planting holes for the trees go deep and oversize. Mix in
to the native soil some compost and water the root zone as you back
fill with compost tea.
Ok so I sell brewers. If budget is of any concern here is how you can
have compost tea at moderate cost. Get a 250 gallon cubical tank
recycled at a cooperage or anyplace that takes delivery in that type
tank. We have found a place that gets carbon black in them. Black
but harmless. The tanks are free. I can send you directions for
modifying the tank. Or you can use a 50 gallon garbage barrel.
Hang a Bob-OF Later in the tank and tea is only a day away. If
interested we will fill in the details. Bob 206 571

Hallo
all
Please suggest an action plan to prepare a 1 acre field for an
apple orchard plantation. Orchard will be planted for classic English
cider production on none profit NH mill org. We have a 15 acre field,
and we will plant on top of a hill, (1 acre) 6 years past, this field was
covered with a heavy application of sludge, today we have a PH of 7 to
10, a top soil of 1 foot and under that we have a hard pan of sand and
an assortment of rocks. This field is certified organic today ! This
is a hay-field today, the farm have small animals sheep/donkeys and
ducks/chickens . A covenantal soil test have been done but reading
the soil test and prescribe an action plan
seams difficult.
Thanks
