Re: [compost_tea] SFI Testing
I would assume that many have read of this method of compost tea extraction
from the most recent issue of AcresUSA (www.acresusa.com). Sabino Cortez has
developed a method of compost tea extraction from fresh dairy manure using a
hydrocyclone. Can you elaborate, Elaine, on your thoughts of this method?
Sabino tells me that they have done many tests, both at the manufacturing
point of this product, and on produce in the field and have never detected
any E-coli. This product is made using fresh, uncomposted dairy manure. I
know all the stuff about using manure teas; this process does something
different that apparently eliminates the threat of harmful bacterias growing
in the tea.
For those of you without access to AcresUSA, the magazine, I can provide
copy of the article to this list.
