Laura, we did the peppering on most of the farm. No control experiment.
We have had good luck controlling quack grass with peppering by burning
the rhizome. We know another farmer here in New Zealand who cleaned up
400 acres of Canadian Thistle with peppering so we felt confident it
would help. We are also peppering for possums.
I used 15 liters of ragwort extract in each batch of 1200 liters of CT.
But I did two batches with 300 liters diluted with 300 liters of water.
I stirred that mixture with flow forms before applying, no compost or
other additions in those batches.
