Small scale practitioners with limited resources
and a small client list could use a backpack sprayer, I suppose.
I've used a Wilson and seen a Solo backpack sprayer
used for tea, we switched over to a small tractor towed 25 gallon sprayer a
couple of years ago, little Agri-Fab thing---sprayer works fine, the tires are
cheap and stupid, though, needing inner tubes.
As others have mentioned, backpack sprayers are
heavy and not always well padded, if you are a hoss (sturdy backpacker sort)
this won't be too much of a problem.
Key is keeping tea fresh and delivering it quickly
where it is needed. Some of the aquarium pumps for 12 volt could be useful if
you have a day's worth of spraying and need to keep a barrel of tea aerated in
the truck between jobs.
