[compost_tea] Re: Backpack Sprayer Comments for Novice Applicator

--- So Chris what sprayer did you decide on? I bought what I thot
was state of art solo backpack sprayer, diaphragm pump and pressure
indicator a month or so ago. Today, after probably the 15th tankful
of previous use, it broke on the first tank. It's not very reliable.
I happened to have another solo backpack, non diaphragm pump which I
then used. Don't know whether bugs/plants made it thru oricice
undamaged. I had made 50 gallon ACT using the air compressor and
soaker hose method (1st batch of quasi ACT I suppose cause I had no
tests ran) and I'll look at the plants tomorrow. They are holding
their own considering the attack by squash bugs, cucumber beetles and
heat and drought. Good news is they're alive, showing some new
growth and even blooming. Seems like I need to sell around 400 gallon
of ACT to finance tests, IMO. In the meantime I'm enjoying archive
here. Dennis
