In reading the latest edition of the COmpost Tea
manual, I noticed a reference to compost tea users
having their grapes ripen several weeks early. I have
heard of similar situations from spraying BD 500
without the other preparations. One grower reported
after faithfully spraying GrowOrganic's Brix Mix
(fish, kelp+ rock phosphate, etc) that his grapes were
ripe (high brix) but never developed the flavors and
aromas normally associated with ripe grapes.

My question: has anyone experienced the high brix but
low flavor? Elaine, did the growers in the study
report good flavors in their grapes/wine? Was the
early ripening limited to brix?

I would be interested to hear any reports. Thanks,
Dorothy
