RE: [compost_tea] membership - my 2 cents
My suggestion to stop unwanted posts is for Jeff to send
a message, personally, off the list, to those who offend, and
let them know what's not acceptable. We've seen a few examples
of what not to post and anyone who can't understand them
should be beaten with a wet noodle.
I'm learning from anyone new or old to this list. I see value here.
I enjoy just as much from those new as from those with more
experience. If you had a list exclusively for new people, who do you
suppose
will answer their questions? If the list has grown, it's obvious
there are new people aboard, and some already have
their own brewing experiences. Whether they ask questions or not,
they're still reading the information. I personally don't want to join
another list.
I really like it here, even when I'm rushing around and have no time
stop and answer (because I'm a very slow typist or I feel someone else
is better qualified to post an answer) I'm still reading the messages.
And I also have a delete key just like everybody else.

If I can add my two cents...I've been a member for about a month and
have
enjoyed listening and learning. I get the daily digest instead of
individual
emails, it is much easier to handle. I just scroll down through posts I
don't feel
are relevant to my interests. I like the idea of a beginners list, not
as a
substitue, but an addition to this one, a place to ask those newbie
questions.
There is so much to learn, it is very overwhelming, but incredibly
exciting.
