Very thoughtful and well-written post from Chris Reid. Thank you.

As I whomped someone a bit ago with a post saying that something had been
covered to death already, and please read the archives on the topic before
opening the worm can again, some people thought I was disrespectful to that person.
In my own defense, it does get old answering the same questions time and
again. The E. coli issue is one fraught with difficulty as well.

So, a monthly review, or a review for new members, of how to get the archive
e-mails might be a good way to deal with this one.
