Re: [compost_tea] dilution/application rate for very sm qty of CT
Where on earth did I get 7.3 from?????? Must have bubbles on the brain now.=
..
But the maximum of 1/2 gallon still seems about right. I think. I hope...

Hi Paulette
The maximum recommended dilution seems to be 10:1, which would take your =
two cups to 7.3 pints-ish (I'm working imperial measures). I don't think th=
ey will be able to cover a rose bush with under about 1/2 gallon so I'd go =
with that and use it *all* :o} on one bush. I doubt they will see much impr=
ovement with one application though.
Be well
Stuart

This weekend I'm sharing CT with some rose-growing friends. Each perso=
n
will get about 2 cups of tea. Telling them to apply 5 gallons/acre isn=
't
helpful in this situation. I need guidelines as to how much they shoul=
d
dilute their 2 cups of tea and how much should be applied as a soil dre=
nch
(via watering can) to a rose bush.
Thanks,
Paulette
