  Seems to me temperature may have been the major issue with your 1st test.=
  Definitely agree with what has been said about pre-activation, one of the=
 good things about doing that is that you get to see and smell that you hav=
e an active compost.

   We have only made one brew so still lots to learn. Our SFI results were
  as follows :
> Active Bacterial 3.4
> Total Bacterial 1183
> Active Fungal 0.71
> Total Fungal 2.17
> Fungal Hypha 3.3

  overnight for the second brew to increase the activity.
