Guess who just invented for sale an easy way to detect GMO corn in the field. It was the
most trusted name in business today. You get the cigar or cake. It is none other than
Monsanto. We CAN trust them right? I mean, don't they have only our interests at heart
regardless of their bottom line. ARE YOU CRAZY? I wouldn't trust anything from them.
Their method only detects one particular kind of modfied gene at a time. In the field you
take some corn, It appears it can be used early in their demo, and put it in a test tube with
some specific liquid and then dip a test strip in the liquid. We all know how reliable such
tests are. Who do they think they are kidding. Not this kid for sure.
Meanwhile others are working on a much more sophisticated testing method. It is not
developed just yet but they use something called a bio-chip. Chip as in computer chip.
Hopefully it will not be to expensive to sell to people like us. And hopefully it will detect
many types of GMOs.
Is detection really the answer though. I don't think so. I think a method of preventing
the unintentional spread of GMOs would be better. With their being outlawed all together
being the best idea yet. Does anyone think Monsanto will allow that? Not I. It will be
suppressed just like American made cars that get more than 20 miles per gallon were.
UNTILL it becomes such a problem it is beyond control. Why don't they wise up and
outlaw all GMO production until it can be proven to be controleable? Answer again, that
would not be in Monsanto's best interests.
This post should be considered only as current as the television show I got the
information from. I am not disclaiming anything here. Just consider the source which was
a documentary program on an educational type of channel.
