In the 'compendium of tomato diseases', it says that verticillium fungal
species are "poor soil competitors", so maybe increased competition from
compost tea applications would help.

This journal article 'Biocontrol of Fusarium and Verticillium Wilt of Tomato
by Penicillium oxalicumunder Greenhouse and Field Conditions' says that
control can be achieved using P.oxalicumunder but im wondering how its use
may affect the soil food web....any thoughts....
