Wasn't being critical of YOUR brewer. The 90 degree turn on your outlet should not be a problem since the tea doesn't circulate through it over and over, just the once as liquid passes out of the system, and the velocity going through the turn is not high velocity.
I agree that folks need to be told that they need to make sure that 90 degree turn needs to be kept clean. A manual with this kind of information needs to come with the brewer.
