I succcessfully use a phase contrast scope(costs around $2K) or a
$910 fluorescent scope?? Fisher has the epi-fluorescence scope for 10
to 12.6 grand.Cole-parmer has the fluorescent scope for$910. Dennis

The bright field scope can give you general ideas about critters in
soil, compost and tea. Probably easiest for tea. We'll be putting
out a handbook later this year on how to do this. Probably will sell
a kit, and the instruction manual, with pictures.

please put me in contact with Sonia in OZ. Thanks again. Dennis

Sonia, at the Australia lab, is putting this manual together. She's
working on all the pictures now, after having worked out a simple
method that will be easy for beginners to work with.

at "few bacteria" to start with, and an "increase" later on. Not
methods that are highly quantitative, really, but they are useful for
being able to say - darn, nothing happened in the brewing cycle.
What went wrong....
