Greetings all
Does any one have any bad news or perhaps really bad news about a product
called Confidor from Bayer?I did some searching and read the bumf that the
chem. rep supplies. It seems to have low toxicity but I am worried because
part of the chemical description is cloypalarid something or other .I
remember this getting some bad press a while back about not breaking down
under composting. That if I recall was the herbicide whilst this a systemic
poison for the control of various insects. My question is what will this do
under a program that is not yet organic but has received 30 m3 compost per
Ha last year and will soon receive another 20m3 Ha post harvest this year,
along with 100 lt AACT per week in season and per month during winter.
Is this stuff applied through the irragation going to take out a lot of our
good guys or is all that organic matter and with the frequent and high
applications of ACT going to keep things alive.?
BTW I believe that Doc E is coming out to RSA in March so all those locals
get your eyes peeled for more details .Doc please tell us this is not a
rumour
Regards
Mike Benton
