Thomas, we raise beef and sheep, and I can't think of a practical way to compare animals raised on treated fields with animals raised on non-treated fields.  We don't measure growth or wellness, if the vet had to come here that would tell us something; we already buy into the healthy soil-healthy animal-healthy people approach.  So likely we'll be looking at changes in soil and plants, as well as grazing response.  We might measure plant protein levels, maybe compare Brix if it is recommended, along with anything else folks might suggest.  Again, cost is a consideration, along with simplicity.

It would be interesting to compare this year's beef with next years, and so on, with respect to CLA, Omega 3, etc., if this kind of comparison has merit.  If anyone can suggest qualitative testing resources, it is appreciated; quick and simple are best, as animals have begun to be sent off.  In fact, if assessing quality and nutrition is simple, it might make a great project to do with the students here (smart high school juniors).  I will try to contact Betsy Ross, as well.

Thank you all again,

Mike Snow
