Hey folks, we must have caused something to happen... the Compost Tea Task
Force report is now on the NOSB Oct 12-14 meeting agenda! Due to be voted
on 10/13 in late afternoon. I guess we must have to thank Nancy Ostiguy for
that, at minimum. She will apparently present it.
So we got there. Hoo-ray! Can anyone be there in DC to hear what they say
and speak if necessary? It can take months otherwise for NOP to post
things, and there will still be work to do after NOSB votes. I believe they
will support it but they can use all the support we can muster, too.
If you haven't commented about the report to NOSB.crops_at_usda.gov and you
want to, now is the time to do it. The report is at
http://www.ams.usda.gov/nosb/meetings/CompostTeaTaskForceFinalReport.pdf.
The test and sanitation recommendations are especially odd so if you have
better suggestions, please make them.
Ya-ya! This means we are within sight of getting compost tea supported by
USDA's National Organic Program.
I assume folks here had something to do with this. Thank you for speaking
up. It works.
Now about voting in November...:-)
