[compost_tea] Re: Re: Tea and powdery mildew
Hey Ted and Dennis,
Yes, I agree.:-)
I've done nothing close to exhaustive extraction testing, my suggestion
is just a guess based on some observation and listening to folks here.
And it makes sense to me that compost banged around a good-roiling
extractor/container would be more prone to let the critters go than compost
floating (or sinking) in an open container. It is something that needs
looking at more closely, specifically focusing on the extraction phase, not
finished tea.

Agree 99%. It seems possible, though, that teas with specific,
yet-to-be-identified organisms could reverse a disease progression -- in
effect "heal" a disease, not just prevent it. It could be that the teas
Titel is making have something in them that works especially well with PM.
Didn't mean to "attack your tea" though I can see how my my words implied
that. Should have said "different" not "better." Per your reports, clearly
you're making some good tea.

Absolutely. Also greatly influenced by compost quality, hmm?
I'm really looking forward to hearing about the Texas Tea Off, and as much
as we can learn about recipes and processes, and tea machine differences,
since everyone was using the same compost...
Anybody hear what USNOSB did last week on compost tea?
Kirk
