In field trials three organic amendments Ricinus communis (aerial plant
parts), Biocompost and Farm Yard manure

were used singly or in combinations to assess their effect on the managemen=
t
of the root-knot nematode

Meloidogyne javanica on banana under plastic house. Ricinus communis used
singly or in combination with

Biocompost reduce significantly nematode population. The organic amendments
improved plant height, pseudo

stem girth, and increase fruit yield. The effect of all organic treatments
was compared to that of Phenamiphos.
